The Art of Coaching Hockey

This week's Suggested Weekly Reading linked to an article about "The Art of War". And, in introducing that, I pointed out how such a 2000-year old manual has been used by high level military personnel, business people and sport coaches the world over. I then went on to promise members that I'd include a copy of this -- for members only -- as soon as I could. Actually, I've owned a copy of this for years, but renamed mine "The Art of Coaching Hockey".

Well, I've gone a step further than I promised, by providing two gifts here, in what I've already referred to as "The Art of Coaching Hockey".
the art of coaching hockeyBy the way, while I may have labeled this post as the art of "coaching" hockey, I again have to suggest that there is much to be borrowed from this manual when it comes to business and much more.
Know that "The Art of War" was written those many years ago by Sun Tzu. My suggestion is that members at least read the first chapter or so in the following pdf file, because it provides a very interesting background on Sun Tzu...
